As you can see from the images above, I love photography!  My serious photography started in 1997 when I bought my first digital camera, a whopping one megapixel model. We have come a long ways since then. My equipment today consists of a multitude of cameras and lenses. My main camera is a Canon 7D but I also have a Sony RX100MK2 point and shoot which I find myself using more and more. The Milky Way panorama above was put together from about 15 images taken with the Sony. My main lenses for the 7D consist of the following Canon lenses, 17-40mm wide angle, 24-105mm, 70-200mm and a 400mm prime.
Permission to use my images
I allow free royalty free use of most of my images. See conditions here
I have Photoshop and Lightroom but find myself using free or low cost software more and more. Faststone Image viewer and Photoscape are the two I use most often. I have made one tutorial video for Faststone and plan to be adding more tutorials in the future. Be sure to subscribe to one of my social media channels in the header above if you are interested in receiving notifications when I post any new videos. My favorite subject matter is landscape, wildlife, macro and travel photography.  I do also take pictures of people from time to time but that is not as enjoyable for me. I have published several Blurb Books, mostly for personal use. You can preview those books in their entirety by clicking on the book covers below. Be sure click on the full screen mode button (the diagonal arrows just above book’s cover picture) as the default preview mode is small and difficult to read. My wife and I belong to the Escapees RV club in which I organized a Photography special interest group, SKP Photographers, which now has over 200 members. You might like to take a look at our newsletter which contains many interesting articles for photographers of skill all levels. I am also a member of the Southwest Missouri Camera Club and the Mayslake Nature Study and Photography Club. And finally, below are some of my photography related Youtube videos.
